Prior to joining WFXI-TV, Andrea worked as the Primary Anchor for WGXA-TV (FOX) in Macon, GA.
Aside from her daily anchoring duties, Andrea also served as an award-winning reporter. She
gathered local reaction to the 1996 Olympic Park Bombing; reported on the city of Macon’s struggle
with gang violence; and covered the arrest and conviction of a militia leader accused of building pipe
bombs.
Andrea also garnered a market exclusive interview with Naomi Judd on Judd’s battle with hepatitis C;
sat down with Astronaut Ken Mattingly; and discussed with Denise Brown, issues of domestic
violence and the murder of sister, Nicole Brown Simpson.
Since the beginning of Andrea’s television career, she’s championed issues faced by women and
young people. In a five part series, Andrea investigated a school system, talking with teens about
their concerns over school safety. Following that report, Andrea looked into media influences and
how they affect young minds.
Another series allowed Andrea to take on “The Beauty Myth” and discuss with women of all ages the
pressures of “looking good” in today’s society. In conjunction with the human emotion, Andrea
touched on the dangers and symptoms of different types of eating disorders.
Along with reporting, Andrea played a pivotal role in the formatting and launch of WGXA-TV’s first-
ever morning ‘infotainment’ program in 1997.
The great granddaughter of an Irish Immigrant and a Native American, Andrea calls the southern
states home. She should, she's lived in almost every one of them! In her leisure time, Andrea
enjoys reading non-fiction, studying wine and languages, and says she's obsessed with
CNN/Headline News and watching Reality TV.
Before breaking into television, Andrea worked as a News Anchor and DJ for radio stations in
several markets. She's also freelanced through a local FOX affiliate as a sideline reporter for Class
A baseball team, the Kinston Indians.
Andrea is a 1995 graduate of Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA. There,
Andrea anchored for the student produced newscast, co-produced and hosted a weekly music video
program, and spent time writing for the university newspaper.
Andrea is an alumni of Phi Mu Fraternity where she served as Philanthropic Chairperson.
She now gives her time to Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic in Athens and to the Jeannette Rankin
Foundation.
Future plans include several television, radio and internet programs to air under the
AGP Omnimedia LLC name.
Personally, Andrea says, along with running this highly successful company, plans are in the works
to pursue a Master's Degree. She is also working on a book about the Media Industry and studying
Spanish.

programming for her home state, Andrea Griffith
created and launched the company, AGP Omnimedia
LLC, in 2005.
‘Georgia Life & Style’ is the third program produced by
AGPO and is the first to air on a network affiliate.
Before taking on the challenges of television
production, this veteran broadcaster and entrepreneur
served for four years as Executive Producer/Primary
Anchor of Fox News at Ten, a daily, half-hour
newscast airing on WFXI-TV, the FOX affiliate in
Greenville, NC.
While in Greenville, Andrea covered our War on Terror
and how it affects military families. She also found
herself anchoring live through a tragedy when an
explosion in Kinston, NC paralyzed the community.
